As soon as you upload a photo or a video, all Exif metadata are extracted and indexed: capture date and timezone, GPS coordinates, camera model, aperture, exposure time, ISO… You can then search by any of these criteria, which are conveniently displayed when browsing your library.
Every constructor likes to create its own format. With Flocon there is no need to worry about that, we support every format, including RAW files, HEIC and HEIF. Just upload your files and our workers will take care of the rest.
On traditional platforms, the only option to share photos is shared albums. But after a while, you end up with a mess of albums, everything is mixed together, randomly sorted, and you can’t find anything.
In Flocon, you can create groups, and it changes everything. For each group of people in your life, create a Flocon group. Then, each time you do something with those people, create an album in the group.
Everyone in a group can see all photos and videos in the group, and all albums. A Flocon group is a structured way to gather along the years all the memories you share with your friends, your coworkers, your family.
The original file you upload to Flocon is always stored as it is, always. When browsing your libraries, you see thumbnails so it’s fast, but when downloading photos or videos, you get the original file, not a compressed version.
Handling one million photos in the browser or a mobile application is a hard problem. But at Flocon we’re not afraid of hard problems. Actually we took this challenge into account since day one. So each part of Flocon has been designed to handle a virtually infinite number of photos and videos, while keeping everything fast.
Like you, we hate those loaders that spin for minutes when you want to export photos or videos. Or even worse when you have to wait for an email to get a link to download your files. So in Flocon, when you want to export an album, the download starts immediately. Yes, immediately. Even if the export contains 10,000 files, even if the album is 50 GB. And yes, if the download is interrupted, you can just resume it. Finally, exports done right.
Because the full metadata are extracted, including the capture date and timezone, your albums and groups libraries are automatically sorted by date, so you see the pictures of your friends and family in the right order.
Also, if a camera clock was not set correctly, you can easily adjust the capture date or timezone of a selection of photos or videos.
